Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness whereby our subconscious mind is receptive and open to receiving suggestions. We drift in and out of differing levels of awareness throughout the day.
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a brief strategic therapy that utilises the state of hypnosis to enable you to overcome any physical or mental difficulties in your life.

What should I expect?
Prior to your session you will be required to bring a list of achievable goals – these can either be short or long term goals. For your first session I will take a detailed case history and I will explain what hypnotherapy is in detail. This will help to ensure that you are at ease with me as your hypnotherapist and that you are comfortable with hypnosis.
We will then explore the problem in some more detail prior to hypnotherapy starting – it is important that we work together. Hypnotherapy cannot work without us establishing a therapeutic partnership. We will work out the aims of each of the sessions should be and this will include an estimate of how many sessions it is likely to take in order to ensure that these aims are met.
You can either sit or recline in a chair for the hypnosis session and then encouraged to relax your mind and body. Once your mind and body is relaxed then your subconscious mind will easily accept the positive suggestions. If you would like a recording of the session then please ask.
